If you paid close attention, you already saw the calendar date on the right of the site, together with an updated word count for my NaNoWriMo.
Made it to 10,460 on day one. That’s where I call it quits for now. Been writing all day on and off. Between doing stuff around the house (and eating and drinking water).
When I talked about my preparation for NaNo, I said that I split my project up into four parts, each with a word-count goal. The first part was meant to be around 10,000 words. Now, at 10,460, part 1 is done. It actually worked out. When I was around 8,000, and I looked at where the story was and how much was left for part one, I had a pretty good feeling already.
All in all, day was a success. Next few days will be slower, for sure. Work and such. But if all goes well, I should be done with the 50,000 words by the end of the week. Or something.
At that point, I’ll write a little more about the actual story, how it all developed. Excerpts are incoming, too.
Stay tuned.
