The car hurls over the edge and plummets onto the rocks. The airbag inflates but it hardly cushions the blow. Glass fragments whirl all around you, drawing blood, as the cold metal bends round your legs, piercing flesh and crushing bone. Fortunately the adrenaline washes away the pain. Momentarily at least.
